See Eye-to-Eye 
We stay focused on the Lord, not on our momentary problems. Hebrews 12:2 – “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith…”                                                                                                  

 

We see Christ in each other. We remind our congregation that, although we are all fallen creatures, we have been made in the image of God and therefore have value.  If we see Christ in each other, we remain unified in our cause to bring the Gospel to Napoli. Philippians 2:1-2 declares:  “Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.”    

                                                                                        

Speak Face-to-Face 

We are called to proclaim the gospel, to intercede for the needs of our church and community, and to be a witness to those who are perishing. Mark 13:20 states:  “The gospel must first be preached to all nations.”  Acts 1:8 promises:  “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

We strive for good communication with one another.  Open, honest, uplifting words unite the church and encourage one another in our walk with the Lord.  As Ephesians 4:15 proclaims: “Speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ.”      

                                         

Walk Hand-in-Hand
We walk daily with our Lord Jesus.  Our church strives to keep our relationship with Jesus close, walking with Him daily and following the instructions of His word.  Micah 6:8 tells us:  “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

We walk together through this journey called life, enjoying fellowship with each other as believers. 1 John 1:7 instructs us:  “…if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another.”  Hebrews 10:24 tells us to:  “…consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

Kneel Side-by-Side 

We submit ourselves to God, depending on daily prayer and the Word of God for discerning His will for our lives.  Colossians 4:2 admonishes us to:  “Devote yourselves to prayer being watchful and thankful.”

​

We pray with and for one another, sharing each other’s burdens.  Galatians 6:2 is clear:  “Carry each other’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”  We emphasize both individual and corporate prayer.

These Core Values are taught to and followed by all who are part of Lighthouse Fellowship.  May the Lord change us into the image of Christ so that we can have a positive effect on the many people in the Napoli area.
